In Hangzhou, the owner of a small vegetarian rice noodle shop wanted to make a sauce for the dishes served there.
The owner went looking for a production partner. The sauce had to meet vegan requirements. The minimum order had to make sense for a small shop.
Finding a production line that could offer both proved difficult. That search became Seleglu’s starting point.
Small beginnings deserve room to grow.
That experience shaped Seleglu’s purpose: to help build the production support that small vegetarian food businesses need.
The original shop is no longer open. Seleglu continues to serve small vegetarian food businesses and brands.
Our aim is to make it easier for these businesses to develop, grow and bring vegetarian food into everyday life.
